Brief Background

As you are probably aware the pandemic of Novel CoranaVirus (SARS-CoV-2) which causes the Covid-19 illness is having profound effects on how everyone behaves and interacts. The UK is presently in the 2nd week of a comprehensive lockdown and many places are closed. This includes the venues where I normally rent rooms for counselling sessions. In addition, the advice from my professional body, the BACP is that for the duration of the pandemic, wherever possible all counselling should be delivered through remote channels such as telephone and online counselling. My personal household circumstances also mean I never work there and the restrictions of the current crisis have made this even less possible.

I am therefore only offering remote sessions to clients for the duration of the crisis.

Channels I am using to deliver counselling

I will conduct counselling using both online and telephone channels. My preference is for online sessions where video is available. Please see the FAQ pages for details. Encrypted channels such as those available via Zoom and WhatsApp are best for confidentiality.
